Intro

Joe Bendall, Lagnaha

Welcome to the Western Centre Gazette's coverage of the biggest trial in the world - the 100th Scottish Six Days Trial, and the Scottish Pre-65 2 Day Trial. We've got loads of pictures, words and videos, so keep coming back as more appears day by day.

Keep up with the progress of West Glos and Dean Forest's "Team Bendall" at the club's website.

How did they get on?

Henry, Joe and Jason Bendall clocked up 1st, 2nd and Finisher's awards respectively. Mega effort from all at Team Bendall.

Apart from the Bendalls, riders with various Western Centre connections rode the Centenary SSDT.

Craig Talbot, Lagnaha

BVM parts man Craig Talbot's charge sadly ended on Friday. But his Sherco team mate Becky Cook finished just outside the top 100, though lost her best female rider crown. Scott Faulkner from Oxford came 216th on 510.

Plenty of Western Centre riders came up to watch, under stunning sunny skies. Those who stayed for the week saw a fascinating battle unfold, with the lead changing several times. 2007 winner James Dabill nullified a bad start for him with some very low scores, and took the overall. It was a pleasure to see many top riders show us all how it's done, aloingside the clubmen. Roll on next year!
