ACU Western celebrates 2022 British Youth Champions

Congratulations to all the riders who competed in national championships this year - including two championship winners

Ben James is Belle Trailers ACU Class D Small Wheel British Trials Champion and Edwyn James second overall in Standard Wheel Class C. With a clean ride in the last round Ben sealed the championship in style. Edwyn finished with a P2, fighting till the end.

And fellow ACU Western Trials Youth Development Squad member Aaron Watson finished 4th in the series, sadly in the last round he suffered with a bent wristbone, which shows how hard he was trying.

ACU Western is very proud to have a British Enduro Champion too - Roan Delaney. Roan has excelled this year in the ACU GBXC British Sprint Enduro Championship, racking up wins in every round bar one. He also finished 7th in the 125 2 stroke class, and 12th overall at his first attempt at the Youth race of the Weston Beach Race 2022. He's looking forward to 2023 with the Carbon Comps Team

In the Belle Trailers ACU British Ladies Trials Championship, Izzy Coopey picked up a third place in Intermediate, Ellyn Welch finished fourth in Class D, while Kasia Pekala-Dayment and Milly Tillings scored points in one-off rides in Class C. All the above riders are YDS riders, and YDS Coach Victoria Payne also scored championship points in the top class.

"Results are great, but most important is the way you all go about your trials. You are an absolute credit to the YDS and your families," said YDS Co-ordinator Simon Welch.
