WVAC Junior Trial, June 28 2009

Results
The Wye Valley Auto Club held its second Junior Trial Championship round on Sunday 28th June at Glandwr Farm Bungalow in the Olchon Valley.
The trial ran two routes. Junior Expert and Junior Novice. The sections, described by some as "technical" incorporated steep banks with some tricky tree roots to encounter as well as some tight turns.
Section five, a rocky gully with a slippery steep slope at the exit took marks off a lot of riders. Section six allowed the riders to cool off in the brook before challenging a steep bank with a tight left hand turn at the top.
The expert route was dominated by Gloucestershire's Jake Hoare, who lost only 15 marks all day, followed by Victoria Payne and Tom Watkins.
The novice route saw 9 year old Ioan Heycock take the lead throughout the day. Dropping only 7 marks, this made the trip from Port Talbot worthwhile. Josh Smith took second place, while Ioan Heycock's younger brother Ben, came in third place.
