Peter Le Plain RIP

With great sadness we heard today of the passing of Peter Le Plain. A major supporter of motorcycle sport over many, many years, he was president of Cheltenham Hawks AMCA club and widely respected and liked across the centre.

Peter's father Marcel rode a 998cc Zenith in hillclimbs and Peter joined in him competition as soon as he could. His first bike was a 350cc wedge tank BSA which he pushed 7 miles from Stoke Orchard home to Charlton Kings and he rode rigid Norton 500s and a 350 BSA in trials and scrambles before retiring from riding in 1953. However he continued to be an arch-organiser until well in to latter years. The funeral was at Cheltenham Crem' on Wednesday, December 12. [on 9Dec2018]
